What to pack for uni: my ultimate packing list

Hey guys ^^
As part of my uni tips series, I thought I'd share my packing list for last year!
I think I managed to not underpack or overpack, and it might be a helpful starting point for any of y'all going to start uni next year! Don't forget, it might be easier to buy some of this stuff, such as cleaning supplies and food, when you've arrived. Also if you can, contact your new flatmates to see if you can share stuff such as pans.
Here's my pile of stuff to take to uni: (everything except kitchen stuff which I bought when I got to uni)

Firstly, Clothes:
  • everyday casual clothes
  • jumpers and warm weather clothes
  • raincoat
  • underwear and socks 
  • pjs and dressing gown
  • slippers
  • going out clothes
  • 'smart' clothes in case you have an interview
  • swimwear/sports gear
  • fancy dress stuff
Decorations
  • photos/ posters
  • desk lamp
  • battery powered fairy lights (Check these are allowed, but it should be ok as long as they aren't mains powered)
Bedding
  • sheets/ duvet and covers
  • pillows and cases
  • warm blanket
Bathroom
  • loo roll
  • hand towel
  • bath towel
  • shower caddy
  • toothbrush and paste, mouthwash, floss
  • shower gel, soap etc. 
  • beauty supplies, hair products and makeup
  • razors etc.
  • deodorant and perfume
  • feminine hygiene products
First Aid 
  • condoms ;)
  • painkillers
  • plasters
  • cold medicine
  • tweezers
  • antiseptic cream
Kitchen Items 
  • wok
  • frying pan
  • saucepan
  • baking tray
  • plates, bowls, cups, knives, forks, spoons (don't bring too many, 2 sets is probably enough)
  • utensils- sharp knife, wooden spoon, spatula, scissors
  • cheese grater
  • mixing bowl
  • measuring stuff
  • sieve/colander
  • biscuit tin
  • cling film, greaseproof paper, tin foil, sandwich bags
  • tupperware
  • washing up liquid
  • bin bags
  • recipes
  • washing powder
  • laundry basket
  • laundry airer
  • coat hangers
  • cleaning sponges
Basic Store Cupboard Essentials
  • salt, pepper, herbs/spices

  • surge protected extension lead

  • uni papers: acceptance letter, accommodation contract, reading list, uni map, 
  • NI details, passport, birth certificte
  • student loan and bank details

  • TV license (If you need one)

  1. Making a packing list is very important before you going for the holidays. For different items , we need various packaging materials like bubble wrap, packaging tapes, fragile packing tape, paper carrier bags any many more.
