So in mid-June, I finally got to visit Spain~ As a British person, not visiting Spain until I was 21 makes me somewhat of a rarity, especially because I'd studied Spanish for 7 years (although to be honest my Spanish is pretty rusty...) Unfortunately, I managed to arrive in Madrid in the middle of a heatwave, and with temperatures of up to ACTUAL 40 DEGREES (!!) we didn't do toooo much, but we did manage to chill and see some sights.
I got to Madrid in the early afternoon (so peak sun and heat) so in the afternoon we just got some food and chilled in the apartment and then we took a walk around Madrid in the evening. It is such a pretty- looking city! I love the old buildings, and there is also loads of graffiti around which is totally my aesthetic.
The view from our apartment was gorgeous! We were right on gran via, and we had a balcony so we could see both the Madrid skyline and gran via.
I had a great afternoon/ evening despite the heat! The next day was super instagram- worthy- we went to the botanic garden, had churros and visited the crystal palace in the parque del buen retiro, so stay tuned for super aesthetic plant filled post coming soon~
Thanks for reading!
