Year in Osaka: my goals

As I'm sure y'all know by now, (as I can't seem to stop going on about it, whoops) I'm off to Osaka university, Japan for my year abroad. It's exciting and also pretty terrifying!
Here are my goals to try and make the most of next year:

Get good at Japanese this is obviously the main aim of the year abroad. I want to study really hard next year and get an 'excellent' overall. I'm paying enough money for my degree that I want a first, haha. But also being more fluent in Japanese, especially speaking, will be its own reward because I can consume more Japanese language stuff like music, books and tv.

Make lots of friends this one always makes my list. Friends are just nice, y'know? Plus, if I make Japanese friends I can practise speaking with them.

Travel a lot because how often do you get the time to see Japan for a whole year? It is such a diverse country. Temples and shrines, mountains and huge sprawling cities, I want to see as much of it as is humanly possible!

Practise guitar because if I leave it for a whole year I'll basically have to start from scratch again in year three. And it's good to have hobbies.

Go to lots of gigs music, especially live music means so much to me, and as many of the bands I like are Japanese it would be silly to miss the chance to go to ALL OF THE GIGS.

Blog regularly about my adventures! This one is slightly obvious, of course I'll bring you guys along with me through the power of the Internet~ I hope you'll enjoy reading about my year in Japan!

Thanks for reading! ♪( ´▽`)
Also please bear with me, posting might be a bit erratic in the next few weeks as I get used to being in Japan. I've scheduled a few posts so hopefully you won't even notice I'm gone, hehe.
