Attempting to go to Bampaku Kinen Kouen

After our mandatory health examination (ugh) a few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to try and visit Bampaku Kinen Kouen in Suita, Osaka. By the time we made it there, there was only half an hour until closing time, so we didn't actually go in. Fail. But it was a nice walk there and I have some pictures from around the area I thought I'd share them anyway.

I think the monorail is so cool. We only usually have them in theme parks in the UK, so it makes me a little excited every time I see it.

The sign reads 'Bampaku Kinen Kouen' (which means 'expo commemoration park')

I got a coca cola float, so the day wasn't totally lost.

I still think that the tower of the sun (symbol of the '70 expo, above) is slightly creepy.

It's even more weird at night. The eyes at the top light up.

Thanks for reading!
