On my last day in Tokyo, we decided to visit akihabara quickly. I liked it, but it was quite a weird experience ^^
I didn't think it would be like this, but there were a lot more guys than girls. Like a lot. I felt very out of place. Most of the girls I saw were the cute cosplayers handing out leaflets and stuff. (So, they worked there.) Pretty surreal.
Having said that, it's still a really fun area that I want to explore more! We got lunch and nipped into a few shops, but I reckon that some of the more out of the way shops could be more interesting. I still haven't explored the "Otaku area" of Osaka (Den Den town and Ota Road) properly yet either.
On the way:
Even on a rainy day, Akiba was bright, colourful and exciting- seeming.
Apparently all of akiba used to look like this:
I didn't want to stay too long in Akiba though, we had time to squeeze in one last stop before I had to catch the train home: Senso-ji, which I'll be posting about next.
Thanks for reading ♪( ´▽`)
