Japanese streets// Part 3

Minami Osaka street Japan

I love Japanese architecture, the cities, and how different 'everyday' suburban Japan looks to the suburbs at home. I took a fair few pictures of random side streets while I was on my year abroad in Osaka, and I didn't publish them all, so I'm publishing them now in this mini series.

Birthday haul post ♡

The first thing I really wanted to post about was something I'd obsessed over buying for a while- House of Plants by Caro Langton and Rosie Ray. I've been a teeny bit obsessed with plants since I've got home, and this book is full of plant care tips, gorgeous photography, craft ideas and interior decorating inspiration. Couldn't recommend it more.

I also got this Korean textbook! I really wanna start Korean (because one day I will go there and get further than Incheon airport...) so it was such a lovely gift <3 I've only just started with this, but it looks promising.

The Pillows// Fool on the Planet // This album is amazing! Lizzie gave me it and it has so many of my fave pillows tracks on it, like One Life, I think I can, Ride on Shooting Star and Carnival! A+++++ on present giving, Lizzie :)

I got this bath set from my Aunt, and I am a huge fan of argan oil for my hair so I'm interested to try these out, especially the body butter.

Then, things I bought in Paris <3 <3

I bought this shirt for 10 Euros in a vintage shop- I mentioned it here but I didn't show the actual shirt- whoops! It's a light material and it's a greyish- blue with a really pretty print- I think I'll get a lot of wear out of it and I think it's a great souvenir for Paris.

Had to get a lil Eiffel Tower- first time in Paris and all that.
I also bought some postcards and a couple of notebooks:

I bought this shirt from a local charity shop, it's so cozy and it was only like £3!

Then I went shopping with birthday money <3

I bought some skincare-  Micellar water was on offer, and the simple was buy one get one half price, score!

Bleach, impulse buy hair dye (watch out for a review on that soonish) and my fave heat protector in the cutest teeny travel size:

And a little Urban Outfitters splurge: an opuntia "bunny ears" cactus (YESSSS I've called it pip and isn't it just the sweeeetest?!) and this cute gold plant pot <3

I also bought one of my fave Japanese fashion magazine, Vivi (at hideous expense) in London.

I miss my magazines in Japan- there were about 6 magazines which I bought every issue, Vivi being a firm favourite along with FRUiTS (rip), Zipper, Larme, Nylon among others. So even though it was £13 when it would have been about £5 in Japan. I couldn't resist picking it up.

Have you guys got anything new in for Spring?

L'Oreal Colorista Washout in Lilac// Hair update and review

L'oreal Colorista Washout in Lilac review
After seeing the really stylish adverts, I've been dying to try out L'Oreal's new colourista range. I bought the lilac washout shade on impulse and I decided to do a little cheeky dip dye for my 21st party. So here's my review, and a quick hair update.

Paris// Where we stayed: Hotel Belloy St Germain

Paris where we stayed

For my first time in Paris, we stayed in an amazing hotel called the Hotel Belloy Saint Germain. It was our birthday treat so it was a pretty fancy hotel- as soon as we walked in we were offered free macaroons(!!) , free coffee and there was free champagne every day at 5pm(!). But apart from the treats, the breakfast there was really nice, the staff were soo helpful and friendly, and spoke English as well as French. The location, right in the Latin Quarter, was perfect for exploring Paris.

Last day in Paris// Rue Moufftard, Museé d'Orsay and the Notre Dame

Last day in Paris
On our last morning in Paris, we decided to go to Rue Moufftard- an old market street- first. I think we went a little late in the morning so it was quite quiet but it was really cute!

Birthday in Paris//Sightseeing on the Bateau Mouche

Paris Eiffel tower train
After we went to the Petit Palais, we walked over to Pont Alma and caught the Bateau Mouche! It's a sightseeing boat that goes along the Seine. It's also huuuge! If you haven't done a boat trip along the Seine, I'd recommend it- it was so cool to see all the sights :) I am obsessed with Paris architecture, so I took a lot of pictures of random apartments as well as the top tourist sights.

My travel bucket list

I'm turning 21 soon, and for my birthday my family is taking my sister and I for a little city break somewhere exciting(!!) and as I'm feeling some serious wanderlust lately, I thought I'd post my updated travel bucket list. Of course I'm desperate to go back to Asia, but I also want to explore Europe more too.
