Paris trip// Eiffel Tower, the Seine and the Latin Quarter

Paris trip day one// Eiffel Tower, the Seine and the Latin Quarter

As those of you who follow me on instagram (@candyflossoverkill) will already know, my parents took Lizzie and I for our birthday this year! It was my first time in Paris and it was amazing- I totally have got the Paris bug and can't wait to go back!
We set off early in the morning and took the Eurostar, and it was so convenient- just two hours 15 minutes!

As we only had three days, I didn't want to spend the whole time running around trying to 'tick off' all the tourist attractions instead my Paris bucket list consisted of (mostly food) more easily attainable things. Basically I just wanted to get a flavour of Paris.

My Paris Bucket List:

  • Eat French bread
  • Instagram story with location in Paris
  • See the Eiffel Tower
  • Eat Macaroons
  • Get a cute coffee
  • Take pictures of the Paris rooftops and architecture
  • Eat a Crepe
  • Go vintage shopping
  • visit a market street
I actually managed to tick all of them off! Not bad, eh?

The view from our hotel room was amazing!

The first thing we did was get lunch- we bought some crepes (mine was chicken and cheese flavoured- yum!) and we headed to Luxembourg gardens to eat. The weather was gorgeous so there were loads of people just chilling there, which was really nice.

Tulips are my favourite flower, so this display was my fave. After lunch, we regrouped at the hotel and then walked/ took the bus along the Seine:

For dinner, we walked a little way down boulevard Saint Germain, and ended up at a brasserie called the Latin Saint Germain. It was so yummy~

So that was my first day in Paris! It was amazing :) Stay tuned for more Paris posts~
