You don't need me to tell you that The Ordinary is a really hot brand right now. I've been using their serum foundation and the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% for a few months, and I'm really impressed! The Ordinary feels like a luxe brand- the products are great and the packaging is soo insta-worthy- but it's really affordable. I'd run out of my serum, so when I was in London last time, I dragged my friend to Boxpark in Shoreditch so I could pick these up.
The first thing I bought is this Ascorbyl glucoside solution 12%. The shop assistant in Covent Garden recommended me this one last time, and I've used it every day since. The Ordinary's product names can be a bit science-y and intimidating, so I'd definitely recommend going to the actual store and asking the shop staff if you can. One bottle of this serum lasted me six months which I was pleased with, and it's got vitamin c in it so it's great for brightening your skin and for helping fade blemishes. It's not too sticky and sinks in quickly, and my skin seems to like it so I think I'll keep using this.
Normally I use my Kosé suncut sunscreen (a.k.a. best sunscreen ever) for a primer, but I want a primer without SPF for night time- SPF sometimes supposedly shows up in flash photos. So, I also picked up this High Adherence Silicon Primer- it's an absolute steal at £3.90, and I'm really impressed with it so far. It's hydrating and a little goes a long way, and it seems to go really well with my foundation- which is The Ordinary's serum foundation, another product I bought in summer and have been really liking.
Have you guys tried The Ordinary? Got any recommendations? I think next on my list to try is their Moisturising Factors + HA.
Thanks for reading! -Amy xoxo
