After my plant tips post last week, I finally got round to editing my uni room tour <3
You can see how I made my room in an old Leeds terraced house as cozy and aesthetic as possible (mostly by filling it with plants). It's super real and I was just making the best of what I had, so although it's not the most pinterest worthy, hopefully it will be actual real life inspiration for how to decorate on a student budget.
Basically, my interior ethos is "got cracks and/or stains in the wall? Shove a plant in the room and distract from it!"
My favourite parts of the room were:
♡The netting above my bed (made me feel like one of those little girls with a princess canopy, plus it covered the wall stain).
♡My plants (obviously)
♡My bedding! I loved having a double bed, and this cactus print duvet cover from Urban Outfitters is the one (also, it's been the backdrop to so many blog posts this year, bonus!)
♡My posters! They are a mix of posters I've bought, tear outs from magazines (I even have some from Kerrang), fliers and tickets. Posters
♡ Hanging my hats- command hooks really don't leave marks!
♡My bunting! I bought some and made some myself
♡ Candles- so relaxing~
♡ My v- window and the view of Leeds- I love Leeds. You know I love Leeds. The view in daytime and night time was so lovely.
♡ My hanging planter- I made it following a tutorial from the wonderful Audrie Storme on Youtube!
♡My rug- which in true uni student style was covering up a huuuge mystery stain in the carpet.
It's just a quick little video, but I'm always super curious about other people's room tours, so I thought I'd do one of my own! Hopefully you'll enjoy! (It's only one and a half minutes long so go ahead and watch it ;) ;) )
Thanks for reading! What's your favourite corner of your room?
