So one of my fave bloggers HelloLizzieBee recently made her Japan Bucket list, and it's been a hot minute since I posted mine so here is my updated list. I have a huge huge list in my notebook and I always find new places I want to go. If only I had more holidays.... If you wanna check out where I've been so far. check out the Japan tag, but for now, here is my (ridiculously huge) Japan bucket list! FYI I'm not including most of the 'tourist spots' in Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka because I've been to a few, so this isn't a 'must see in Japan holiday itinery' (although I do have a couple of travel guides like Osaka, and 2 weeks in Japan)
Osaka// Kansai
A.k.a. the city that stole my heart. Obviously I want to go back to loads of my old haunts from when I did my study abroad (Amemura, Shinsaibashi, "my" starbucks, "my" okonomiyaki restaurant, "my" tower records in Namba, "my" SPINNS etc etc.) but there are also a lot of places that I didn't explore enough or didn't get to at all.OPA shinsaibashi (I always walked past this thinking it was offices with a couple of shops at the front, turns out there is a whole super fashionable shopping centre there... oops)
Abeno Harukas and Q's mall in Tennoji- they have a 109! And although it was a bit pricy for me, I wish I'd gone back at least once... And I wanna see the city from the top of Abeno Harukas
Bubbles
Den Den town again to go to a maid cafe!!
Bar Rock rock in Amemura
cute cafes in Horie
Ura namba- explore and photograph more
Go up Tsutenkaku at night and Umeda Sky building in the day
Osaka redhorse wheel
The Ferris wheel on Donki
USJ
Tondabayashi Peace Tower
Kishiwada castle
Emperor Nintoku's Kofun
Tsuruhashi
Nachi falls
Koyasan
Hasedera in Nara
Tokyo/Kanto/ Shinshu area
Osaka may be my first love, but as the centre of Japanese pop culture, Tokyo is pretty dear to my heart too. I didn't actually get to go to a lot of the fashionable areas I wanted to explore, so my list for Tokyo is actually pretty long.
